About Mirissa

Mirissa is the South Coast's liveliest beach town: a crescent of golden sand backed by palm groves, beach bars and boutique guesthouses. It is famous for three things — spectacular sunsets from Coconut Tree Hill, whale watching in the deep water just offshore (Nov–Apr), and a relaxed party scene that winds down as the dry season ends.

  • Sunset viewpoint at Coconut Tree Hill
  • Whale watching cruises (Nov–Apr)
  • Parrot Rock, crossable at low tide
  • Beginner-friendly bay swimming
  • Beachfront café & bar strip
