About Talalla

Talalla is a wide, quiet surf beach a few kilometres east of Dikwella, split by a headland into Talalla North and Talalla South. Its consistent beach break makes it one of the more dependable surf spots on the south coast, and the village has grown up around it as a low-key retreat centre: surf camps, yoga decks and wellness programmes sit among boutique villas and guesthouses set back from the sand. The beach itself is broad and palm-fringed, with turquoise water and long empty stretches even in high season. Talalla Retreat, a boutique resort on the south end, anchors the scene with rooms, surf camp packages and yoga, while smaller guesthouses cater to budget surfers. There is little nightlife and no beachfront strip - just beach, surf, yoga and slow meals.
